No doubt, Brazilian's love, and I mean love, their "churrasco" (Brazilian for barbecue). It is primarily a meats only fiasco where chicken, sausage, ribs, pork and beef of all sorts are grilled to perfection. This is no hamburger and hot dog cookout like in the USA; as a matter of fact, it would be an insult to mention or ask if hamburgers or hot dogs are used in their barbecue's. These are not regarded as "meats" to Brazilian people.
Brazilian meats are dee··licious beyond description, you just need to try it. They are seasoned mainly with some sort of sea salt and then grilled to perfection. I'd definitely recommend at least experiencing a similiar taste to what you get in the country by eating at a Brazilian restaurant found locally in your area. Typically you'll see an area with a wide selection of vegetables, small amount of lunch meats, cheese and possibly soup. Don't fall for the get full on salad trick. The salad selections are just accompanyments for the meats and you should choose sparingly. Save most of your apetite for the big ticket items like meat and fish selections that will soon be offerred to you. However, remember, the US brazilian restaurants don't have the same selections and taste as those found in the country of Brazil.
Local Brazilian Restaurants: Fogo de Chão, Sal Grosso
