Dear Mustang Basketball Booster Club Family,
The KMBCC Executive Board has developed an exciting fundraising opportunity designed to offset and reduce player fee obligations for the fall 2011-2012 basketball season. Our goal is to decrease families' out-of-pocket expenses in the upcoming season and encourage our players to invest in the program by supporting these fundraising tournaments.
Kennesaw Moutain High School will serve as a host site for selected YBOA and AAU tournaments in the main and auxiliary gyms. This program will allow players/families the opportunity to build credits to offset player fees should your son or daughter make the 2011-2012 Varsity, Junior Varsity or Freshman teams.
Here is how the program will work:
Player credits can be earned by staffing the gate, keeping score sheets, running the clock, performing general housekeeping or by working in the concessions booth. The rate earned equals $7.25 per hour. Player credits are non-negotiable hours and will be tracked based on participation during these tournaments to earn a maximum credit balance up to $250.00. Players (or parents) will schedule their work hours and assignments through the tournament coordinator, preferably 1-week in advance of the tournament dates. Players (or parents) will sign in and out for duty with the tournament coordinator who will validate the hours worked. The tournament coordinator will assign an area to the player or family member based on preference or staffing needs. The KMBCC Treasurer or Secretary will maintain a running tally for each player and will provide reports to the coaching staff. Credit hours cannot be donated to another player should he/she fail to make a team during the 2011/12 season. Credit hours can be shared or transferred between siblings.
If you, your daughter or son are interested in working any or all of these tournaments, contact Carmen Inman, Coach Chris Jackson, or Coach Jesse Bonner as early as possible. This program needs your support to be successful!
